"Biella Wonderland. Where creativity and technology meet beauty": discovering the "wonders" of Biella's excellence

On the occasion of ITMA, players in the technical textile, clothing and fashion industry from around the world are invited to Biella for an emotional B2B event

Biella Wonderland is a unique event focused on the technical textile, clothing and fashion sector and its protagonists, that aims to be an "emotional pause", an occasion in which participants may develop relationships, do business, get to know the industrial reality of the Biella district and live a special experience to discover the excellence of the territory. Biella presents itself for one evening as a fairy-tale place where everything is possible: a textile wonderland, the "creativity factory" of Biella's excellence, which consists of the ability of companies to give life to textile emotions, fabrics and textures that are then transformed into clothes through creative imagination.

All this is Biella Wonderland. Where creativity and technology meet beauty, scheduled for Saturday, June 10th at Palazzo Gromo Losa in Biella. It is an international B2B event promoted by Unione Industriale Biellese, as an Official Supporting Organization of ITMA 2023 (the world's largest international textile and garment technology exhibition which will be held in Milan from 8 to 14 June 2023.), by the Regione Piemonte through the Integrated Supply Chain Project dedicated to the textile sector and implemented by Piemonte Agency Ceipiemonte. The initiative was born out of the active involvement of entrepreneurs and member companies of the Mechanics Section of Unione Industriale Biellese, who personally conceived and created the event.

The evening, an invitation-only event, is aimed for international buyers and agents from the technical textiles, clothing and fashion sectors, who are in Italy to attend ITMA 2023. Several excellences of the territory will be displayed during an exclusive experiential journey.

The food and wine journey with the Food and Beverage Section of Unione Industriale Biellese

The first experience participants will live is a focus on taste, with the discovery of Biella's food and wine excellences. "In the Biellese area, unique specialties find expression: small jewels ranging from food to beverages, from companies with great tradition to new activities born from the entrepreneurial spirit of young entrepreneurs. It is with great pride that we present the companies belonging to our Section which participate in the event: true ambassadors of a Biellese waiting to be discovered," comments Andrea Bonino, President of the UIB Food and Beverage Section.

The companies participating in the food and wine journeys are: Balossino Bevande, Menabrea Beer, Botalla, Pier Luigi Rosso Dairy, Centovigne - Castello di Castellengo, De Mori, Ramella Family, Gabba Salumi, Lauretana, Graziella Pasta Fresca, Pasticceria Massera Gino Srl, Stefano Gilardi Cioccolato.

Music by Accademia Perosi

To accompany the journey of participants during the evening there will also be the musical "fabric" by the Accademia Perosi Foundation, one of Italy's most prominent musical institutions that has distinguished itself as an extraordinary model of music promotion, who will provide a musical "fabric" to go along with the trip to the land of Biella. The Perosi Academy is a place of exchange between old and new generations of musicians: master classes are attended by more than 350 students from over 40 countries every year. The Concert Season, now in its 46th edition, has also been awarded the President of the Italian Republic medal. The evening's soundtrack includes several performances.

ITS TAM students' creations

The installation realized by ITS Textile Clothing Fashion of Biella students includes three garments made for the occasion of the exhibition "Stitching up the future" dedicated to Coco Chanel (an event wanted by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Biella), along with the iconic dress featured at the Dubai Expo during the exhibition "Piemonte design attitude, the beauty of shaping the future," set up in the Italian pavilion on behalf of the Regione Piemonte.

"Fairytale-like" installation curated by Tiziano Guardini and Luigi Ciuffreda

During the event, a magical installation by Tiziano Guardini will stage the magic of excellence in a dreamlike setting inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Through the Hatter’s words we enter a world where everything becomes possible, where the Italian creative dream finds its real vision and where we will find ourselves wondering if we are living a dream or if it is "simply" reality. A garden animated by dreamy creatures playing with the elements of nature and beyond. Queens of love and flowers alternate in a delicate balance making us discover our simplest emotions. Mirror dancers will ask to be reflected in their spinning, whilst the king will invite us to follow him into his kingdom made of flowers to be awakened.

Everything is in motion, and the earth seems to not to be so stable...music runs through every part of this world and participates in the dance of life, of freedom, of the dream that has now become reality. An evening to be experienced, to cross...the door to a new and personal journey.
